“It is rare, if not unique to find such a safe yet adventurous and nourishing space. It is the thought, care and inner preparation that goes into the workshops that allows this to arise” Annie S.
Moon Mosaic Workshop
with Community and Mosaic Artist Robin R James
Near the Autumn Equinox and Mid- Autumn Festival, in many parts of the world the Moon Festival celebrates the harvest, abundance and family unity. Join Robin to explore the many faces of the moon in mosaic form.
Robin was inspired by World Space Week – created by the UN and held each year from 4th-10th October. The theme for 2019 is ‘The Moon: Gateway to the Stars’.
The moon shows us its beauty in both colour and shape: the Divine Moon, Purifying Moon, Soft Pink Moon, bold Blood Moon and Harvest Moon transform the sky and landscape beneath it, depending on their phase and the time of the year. The moon is our constant companion, regulating water, giving light on a dark night. This workshop is an opportunity to discover the magic of working with colour and texture, and to create your own mosaic panel.
