work and training opportunities at Imagine

If you are interested in our work and want to get involved, we offer the following opportunities:

  • Self-development and Facilitator Training Programme

If you are interested in the therapeutic arts and how they can support health and wellbeing in a social context, this training is an opportunity for you to develop the skills needed to hold an art-based support group. You will learn within the Imagine studio the method we have developed over many years of experience in our artistic therapeutic community in Stroud. It is a requirement that potential trainees volunteer within the Imagine programme for a period of time before undertaking the training.

The duration of the training programme is one year (12 months), the next starting date is September 2025.

To find out more and apply for the training, please contact: info@imagine-therapeutic-arts.co.uk

  • Placement for students/trainees, within the arts and therapeutic professions

As a student/trainee you will be invited to take part in both our open and structured groups, working with vulnerable adults and young people. The aim is that through your experience you gain an overall understanding of how this unique community project functions.

You will be able to work artistically alongside and, at the same time, to facilitate the members’ process by offering help and support if and when needed – on the artistic, technical as well as the emotional level.

We offer supervision and the opportunity to reflect on your own artistic and learning process, as well as the group dynamics. We offer the use of art materials in the studio and some expenses might be covered.

We expect you to contribute to the quality and care of the background studio management, which forms part of the success of our initiative.
We require a commitment of two terms minimum.
