“It is rare, if not unique to find such a safe yet adventurous and nourishing space. It is the thought, care and inner preparation that goes into the workshops that allows this to arise” Annie S.

Native American Medicine Wheel and Shields
Please note, NEW DATE: 26th-28th August 2022
a weekend workshop facilitated by John Playfoot
The Native American shield was more than just a protection. It was a powerful statement of identity, dreams, and visions. In contrast, the Medicine Wheel, an archetype found in many cultures, connects us to something greater than ourselves, bringing orientation and centring. Working with nature and art, and through the creation of our own individual shield, we will explore these two archetypes.
No previous artistic experience is required. All materials will be supplied.
John Playfoot is a practising art therapist and artist, he has been researching mandalas, working therapeutically with them and running workshops on the theme for a number of years.
The illustrated presentation on the theme, on Friday evening, is open to the public.
£160 (£140 conc.) for the workshop, incl. the talk
£10 for the talk only
